Managing Director
Ronnie Fryars
Ronnie began his career in the security sector more than two decades ago, building extensive expertise in Close Protection and Residential Security Teams (RST). Throughout his career, he has protected high-profile individuals, including celebrities, and has led close protection teams supporting visiting diplomatic personnel.
In more recent roles, Ronnie has overseen guarding teams delivering static security services at sensitive and high-profile locations, including Wapping, on behalf of a major PLC. As a dedicated Managing Director, he is committed to maintaining the highest standards and ensuring every client receives the level of service promised.
Operations Manager
Alexandru Dumitrache
With a foundation in Chemical Engineering, I have built a career defined by continuous development and progression, culminating in my current role as Operations Manager.
I hold a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești, Romania, where I developed strong analytical, problem-solving, and process optimisation skills. After completing my studies, I began my professional career as a Quality Engineer, focusing on precision, compliance, and maintaining high standards across products and services.
Driven by a desire for new challenges and opportunities, I relocated to England and continued my career as a Quality Controller before joining SmartGuard Security as a Mobile Driver. Through consistent commitment and performance, I progressed into the role of Operations Assistant.
In this position, I played a key role in improving operational efficiency by streamlining processes, enhancing workflows, and introducing effective operational strategies. My dedication and results were recognised by the company, leading to my appointment as Operations Manager.
In my current role, I am responsible for overseeing complex operational functions and ensuring the smooth, effective delivery of services across the business.
Operations Assistant
James Newell
James joined SmartGuard Security during the challenging period of 2020, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, beginning his career as a static security officer at a local hospital. In 2021, he progressed into our mobile security team, where he quickly adapted to a broader range of responsibilities, including locking and unlocking sites, conducting patrols, and responding promptly to alarm activations to ensure client premises remained secure.
In 2022, James transitioned into a new role within the business, becoming a valued member of the office team. In this position, he supports both the Operations Manager and Managing Director, contributing to the day-to-day operational management of the company.

Where waste cannot be avoided, we prioritise recycling and safe disposal to reduce environmental harm. This includes recycling office materials and securely shredding confidential documents before sending them to approved recycling facilities.
We also encourage the use of environmentally responsible products and promote sustainable working practices, such as reducing energy consumption by switching off lights and closing windows when not in use.
